Second installment of things I can’t identify. Please do help if you can.
UPDATE: Patrich Leach has that hook tool, fourth from the left, above, for sale in a set:
“Cased group of unrelated tools that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the benjamin booth co. ; founded in 1892, it’s dated 1942, the receiver’s name is printed on the zippered case, a postcard size insert is printed with the info; an odd group of tools – two hammers, one a tack, other a specialty one, a wire gauge, four thickness gauges, and an odd hook like tool with a wooden handle – it appears the tools have zero relation to each other.” Not even Patrick knows what that tool is. Damn. UPDATE: DT says: The tool with the four teeth and hooped handle – I think it might be an ice chisel, for chiseling slivers of ice off a block. Thanks, Deet! UPDATE: Bill says: Item #5 is used to edge leather. Mine is made by Osborne tools. Thanks, Bill! |
