Beautiful old German multitool. The attachments pivot into the handle and are held quite securely. You take them out kind of like you’re folding the blade on a pocket knife.

The DRGM stamped on these stands for Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchs Muster, which was a German sort-of patent. As I understand it, it was a way for the manufacturer to get around paying the high German patent fees and protect their design for a while, less than what was granted with a regular patent. I think.

I would imagine this velvety zip case is not original, I’ve seen similar sets with cases that folded open with a slot for each tool. Probably better than them banging around in here while hiking and such.

The saw is extremely sharp. Maybe that’s why it has a sheath.
